Our Charity Partners

The Emerald Garrison

The Emerald Garrison, Ireland's largest independent Star Wars costuming club has announced their charity partnership with The Childhood Cancer Foundation in May 2015.

With over 110 members, the critically acclaimed and award winning, not for profit organisation which boasts members from both sides of the border, regularly attend events and functions to the delight of the hundreds of thousands of Star Wars fans in Ireland and will raise valuable funds for the charity in the process.

Childhood Cancer Foundation events benefit significantly from the presence of the Emerald Garrison members and their ongoing charitable donations have a significant impact on children affected by cancer.

Gaelic Players Association

The Gaelic Players Association is the official representative body for inter-county Gaelic footballers and hurlers. Founded in 1999, the Association’s mission is to invest in a better and more sustainable future for county players, to support them in managing their dual careers, on and off the field. To achieve this, the GPA protects the welfare rights and interests of its members while supporting players through a comprehensive Development Programme. The PDP provides services in the areas of education, career support, personal coaching, counselling, health and wellbeing, benevolent support and leadership programme.

The GPA operates an annual Social Responsibility Programme and established a formal partnership with the Childhood Cancer Foundation in 2015 to help support Ireland’s fight against childhood cancer. Players from counties nationwide have volunteered their services and will work as ambassadors with CCF both in their communities and to promote national events.

Opel

Opel announced they are official charity partners of Childhood Cancer Foundation in November 2015.  The first element of the partnershp involved the inclusion of the Childhood Cancer Foundation on the GAA/GPA All Stars Jersey.  A percentage of the sale of each jersey will be donated to Childhood Cancer Foundation. We look forward to more projects with Opel in 2016 as we work together to support children fighting cancer.

Clare Frances Photography

Thanks to Clare Frances for becoming a charity partner of Childhood Cancer Foundation. Clare has supported CCF through photographing buildings during the light it up gold campaign and through being our official photographer at events.  We are always delighted with the wonderful photos she produces.  They are a reflection of Clare's ethos stated on her website: "My belief is, every person is unique and wonderful and I seek to capture your unique personality through beautiful photography. My most loved part about my Photography Business is, getting to know people and the second most amazing part is, when a client becomes a friend."  Thanks Clare for being a friend to CCF.
