Thanks to all involved for their support. Pictured with Mary Claire and Jane are Michael Walby and Liz Mosely.
Charity Hair Cut
Valerie got in touch with Childhood Cancer Foundation recently about getting her hair cut to donate for wigs. This is a very generous thing to do. We advised her to donate her hair to Little Princess Trust which provides wigs for children affected by cancer. Valerie also wished to raise funds for Childhood Cancer Foundation.
Here is what Valerie sent to us:
"I had my hair long for many years and only got it cut two times in my life when I was 19 and 35 years old. Now again age 47. I will be nervous but keen to do it for LPT and Childhood Cancer."
Valerie asked her friends for sponsorship or to text donate.
She said: "I will make video on Tuesday with signing as I am deaf but will use voice as well so people could hear me too, I hope it will work."
Valerie got her hair cut earlier this month and sent us the before and after photos. If we get a video we will share that on our Facebook page also. It is especially touching that Valerie who has a hearing loss is suporting childhood cancer as many children are left with a hearing loss after treatment for cancer.
Thank you Valerie for your support, we think you look great with your pixie cut!
