Sarcomas develop in the supporting tissues of the body such as muscle or cartilage. Almost 50% of soft tissue sarcomas are Rhabdomyosarcoma, which arises in the muscle cells. The other soft tissue tumours include Fibrosarcomas which occur in fibrous tissues and Synovial Sarcomas which start near joints.
